This Excel Intermediate course has been created for delegates who have some previous experience of using Excel, but want to take their knowledge further. By the end of the day, delegates will be able to use functions confidently, format cells and numbers, sort and filter data.

Course Outline
Session 1

Recap Excel formulae, relative and absolute cell references, how to use range names, format cells (such as text colour, font style, size, apply borders, cell colour, use Format Painter), format numbers, (for example as a date, time, currency, negative numbers in red), use conditional formatting, and the Quick Analysis tool.

Session 2

How to use functions (AVERAGE, MIN, MAX, COUNT, SUM), DATE and TODAY functions, the IF function, COUNTIF and SUMIF.

Session 3

How to use VLOOKUP & HLOOKUP, both worksheet and workbook protection, add subtotals, sort data and use auto filter to pull out data.

Session 4

Insert comments and notes into a sheet, edit and delete them. How to track changes in a sheet, link sheets, use grouping and consolidation. Create formulae across both sheets and workbooks. Copy data into Word.
