Hello! I’m Gill, founder of Just Click Here, an IT Trainer in Edinburgh with over 15 years’ experience helping individuals, charities, schools and businesses develop practical digital skills. I deliver Excel Training, Microsoft 365 Training, Google Workspace Training, Canva Training, AI and Copilot Training, together with friendly online IT Training sessions and some face-to-face workshops across Scotland.

AI is changing the workplace – but people matter more than ever

Artificial Intelligence is transforming the way we work.

Tools such as Microsoft Copilot, ChatGPT and Google’s AI features (Gemini) can save time, generate ideas and automate repetitive tasks. At Just Click Here, I use AI responsibly to help develop learning materials, explore new ideas and stay up to date with rapidly changing technology.

However, AI is only a tool.

It can make mistakes, misunderstand context, invent information and produce answers that sound convincing but aren’t correct.

That’s why I believe training is more important than ever.

If someone uses AI to write a report, analyse data or generate a formula, their name is still attached to the final result. Understanding the underlying software, checking the output, protecting sensitive information and knowing when not to rely on AI are now essential workplace skills.

My training doesn’t just teach people how to use AI, it teaches them how to use it responsibly, critically and confidently.

AI can be an excellent assistant, but it isn’t a replacement for knowledge or judgement. My AI and Copilot Training helps people understand what AI can and can’t do, how to write better prompts, how to verify results, how to protect confidential information, and how to use AI responsibly in the workplace. If your name is on the document, spreadsheet or presentation, you’re still responsible for its accuracy.

Experience

Before founding Just Click Here, I worked as a freelance IT trainer and writer, as a teacher in adult education and a trainer and project manager in the charity sector.

I’m a qualified teacher (PGCE Further Education & Training), hold the TPMA qualification accredited by the Learning and Performance Institute, and I’m a Microsoft Office Specialist Master.

Over the years I’ve designed and delivered training covering Microsoft Office, Google Workspace, Canva and many other applications, while also writing learning materials, magazine articles and practical guides used by thousands of learners.

Today I combine live training with creating online learning resources including tutorials, downloadable guides, videos, quizzes and practice exercises. Whether someone attends one of my Online IT Training courses or an in-person workshop, I want them to leave feeling more confident than when they arrived.
